Obituary for Marvene T. Crane

Marvene T.  Crane
Marvene T. Crane, 91, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday November 8, 2016 at her residence following a sudden illness.
Born September 22, 1925 to the late Leslie and Allie Turner, she was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. Marvene owned and operated Marvene’s Beauty Shop and Dawsonville House of Beauty for 50 years and was also formerly employed by Dawson County Park and Recreation. A proud and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she thoroughly enjoyed socializing and having lunch at the Dawsonville Pool Room almost every day. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Wade Crane; brothers and sisters in law, Craig and Lois Turner, Floyd and Thelma Turner.
Surviving are her children, Lloyd and Joann Crane, Dawsonville, Linda and Larry Grizzle, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Tina and Tim Costley, Leslie and J’Lene Grizzle, LeAnne and Frank Stowers, Lisa and Jeff Perry, Tina and Frank Brown, Dena and Brady LeBaron, all of Dawsonville; 14 great grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Saturday November 12, 2016 at 11 o’clock at Juno Baptist Church. Rev. Brody Hughes, Rev. Tim Biddy, Rev. Jason Hamby, Rev. Scott Sorrels and Rev. Dennis Bottoms will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4 until 8 on Thursday and 4 until 8 on Friday at the funeral home.
