Obituary for Mildred Griffith Broome

Mildred Griffith  Broome
Mildred Griffith Broome, 82, of Dawsonville passed away Sunday March 8, 2015 at her residence following an extended illness.
Mrs. Broome was born August 30, 1932 in Fort Payne, Alabama to the late William and Hattie Griffith. She had been a resident of Dawsonville since 1996, coming from Alpharetta. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and avid gardener she attended New Life Church in Dawsonville. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Carl R. Broome, son, David Broome, grandson, Brian Farmer, and a number of brothers and sisters.
Surviving are her daughters and son in law, Deloris Stanberry, Dawsonville, Carolyn and Dale Campbell, Dawsonville; daughter in law, Cheryl Broome, Cumming; sister, Alene Martin, Michigan; grandchildren, Robert Brannon, Jennifer Frankland, Amanda Blanchard, Tammy Farmer; 11 great grandchildren; a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Saturday March 14, 2015 at 11 AM at New Life Church in Dawsonville with the remains placed in state at 10 AM. Rev. Mike Owens will officiate. Interment will follow at 1:30 PM at Greenlawn Cemetery in Roswell.
The family will receive friends at the church from 10 AM until the service hour on Saturday.
