Obituary for Tony Simmons

Tony  Simmons
Tony Simmons, 53, of Dawsonville passed away Wednesday December 10, 2014 at his residence following a sudden illness.
Born November 4, 1961 to the late Troy Lee and Dorothy Simmons, he was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. Mr. Simmons was a member of Goshen Baptist Church and worked with the Dawson County Road Department for over 10 years. A loving father, grandfather, friend, and car enthusiast, he enjoyed building engines with his son and spending time with his granddaughters. He is also preceded in death his brother, Terry Simmons.
Surviving are his son and daughter in law, Travis and Kari Simmons, Dawsonville; granddaughters, Cheyenne, Sierra and Savannah Simmons; nephew, Stanley Simmons, Dawsonville; niece, Jeannie Simmons-Schuetze, Canton; and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Saturday December 13, 2014 at 11 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Clyde Boling will officiate. Interment will follow in the Goshen Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5 until 9.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.
