I have many wonderful memories of Mrs. Stamey. As a young girl growing up on Haralson Road, I spent many hours at her home where we worked in her garden and flower beds; canned vegetables; read magazines; listened to music especially Merle Haggard (her favorite) and oh yes, drank coffee. Mrs. Stamey was a special friend, big sister and like a second mother to me. She will always have a special place in my heart and I will think of her often until we meet again.
I thank God for getting to have you in our life and all of the memories that we have. We will miss you so much. I love you. You have always been like a mother to us. I will miss getting to hear you tell us of the things that you did when you were growing up.
Mrs.Stamey was such a special person ,her home was always open to the neighborhood children she was a second mother to us all .I love you so much Mrs. Stamey you gave me so many happy childhood memories.
Oh Flowerpot, what a wonderful woman we have lost! I'll never forget all the mischief we would get into when you came to Mammy's for visits. There wasn't anything you wouldn't do. You were and always will be one of our biggest blessings. Until we meet again, save us all a seat up there! Love you always!❤️
