Obituary for Betty Jenkins

Betty  Jenkins
Betty Jenkins, 73, of Dawsonville passed away Sunday November 3, 2013 at Gold City Convalescent Center following a period of declining health.
Born April 8, 1940 in Canton, GA to the late Albert and Daisy Dean, she lived most of her life in Dawson County. Mrs. Jenkins was employed at Sweet-Orr for 35 years after which she worked for Legacy Link until her retirement. Betty was of the Baptist faith and was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Jenkins; sisters, Grace Phillips, Brenda Dean; and brothers, Donald Dean and Ronald Dean.
Surviving are her daughters and sons in law, Ann and Charlie Strickland, Dawsonville, Sheree and Lamar Sawyer, Canton; son and daughter in law, Mike and Robin Jenkins, Dawsonville; sisters, Rosamae Osborne, Milledgeville, Dorothy Epperson, Alpharetta, Bell Haygood, Cumming, Carolyn Hudson, Cumming; brother, Bill Dean, Acworth; grandchildren, April Beavers, Bethany Strickland, Amanda Odom, Carrie Strickland, Lewellyn Payne, Hughes Sawyer.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday November 5, 2013 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Danny Park will officiate. Interment will follow in Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends after 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to offset final expenses.
