Obituary for Betty Ann Mooney

Betty Ann  Mooney
Betty Ann Mooney, 74, of Dawsonville passed away Saturday September 28, 2013 at Northside Forsyth Hospital following an extended illness.
Mrs. Mooney was born August 8, 1939 to the late Ellis E. and Ola Mae Smallwood. She had been a resident of Dawsonville for over 20 years coming from Forsyth County. A dedicated wife, mother and grandmother she attended Winds of Peace Church and was loved by all. She was also preceded in death by her father in law and mother in law, Hubert and Susie S. Mooney; sisters, Marie Duffle, Jeanette Smith, Sue Harrisson; brother, Junior Smallwood; daughter in law, Janice Mooney.
Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Euell D. Mooney, Dawsonville; sons and daughter in law, Hubert D. Mooney, Dawsonville; Randy Lee and Kathy Mooney, Dawsonville; daughters and son in law, Helen Chamblee, Dawsonville, Susie Morgan, Dawsonville, Melissa and Bobby Bowen, Alto, Georgia; grandchildren, James and Jessica Pirkle, Richard and Tessa Bishop, Danny and Angela Mooney, Robert A. Mooney, Todd A. Mooney, William Anthony Lee, Burdette Morgan, Joann Lee, 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Eva Bruce, Cleveland, Barbara Jakes; a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday October 1, 2013 at 2 o’clock at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. Rev. Lee Ayers will officiate.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 until 9 and all day Monday until 9 at the funeral home.
