Joe Quarles, 72, of Dawsonville passed away Saturday October 13, 2018 at Landmark Hospital in Athens following a period of declining health.
Born May 6, 1946 and raised in Ellijay, Mr. Quarles had been a resident of Dawson County for most of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Helen Quarles, brother, James Quarles and sister, Gloria Chester.
Surviving are his son, J.L. Quarles of Oakwood; step-sons, Mike Eddings, Barry and Lisa Miller, all of Clarkesville; brothers and sister in law, Forrest Quarles, W.C. and Vickie Quarles, all of Dawsonville; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday October 16, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ronnie Sosebee will officiate. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. at Tails Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Ellijay.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the service hour.
