Obituary for Billy A. Wise

Billy A.  Wise
Billy A. Wise, 75, of Dawsonville passed away Monday October 8, 2018 at his residence following a period of declining health.
Born March 29, 1943 in Hemingway, South Carolina to the late James Thomas and Anna Ruth Wise, he lived in Lumpkin County for the past 5 years having moved from Garden City, South Carolina. Mr. Wise owned and operated BW&Me for over 40 years until his retirement. He possessed a deep love for Jesus and was a very devoted Christian family man. He also enjoyed western movies and ice cream. A member of the First Baptist Church of Dawsonville, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Elaine Wise Teal and a brother, James Thomas Wise, Jr.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Nancy J. Wise, Dawsonville; daughters and sons in law, Lynn and Scott McEver, Dawsonville, Christy and Tommy Lewis, Jr., Sumter, SC, Lezlee Detscher, Canton, GA, Honey and Josh Bray, Cumming, GA; grandchildren, Rick and Corey Detscher, Zack and Madison McEver, Madalynne and Patrick Long, Kari Detscher, Mason McEver, Thomas, III, and Raven Lewis, William Nicholas Detscher, Sammy McEver, Kati Jane Detscher, Matthew Bray, Olivia Bray, Tucker Bray, Rachel Bray, Judah Bray; great grandchildren, Norah Detscher, Cohen McEver, Sadie Detscher, Tatum McEver, Elijah Lewis; sisters, Marion Hoch, Garden City, SC, Von McElveen, Myrtle Beach, SC, Geri Storm, Garden City, SC.
Funeral services will be held Saturday October 13, 2018 at 1 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Jim Gaines will officiate. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Gardens.
