Obituary for Sue Cates

Sue  Cates
Sue Cates, 70, of Dahlonega passed away Wednesday January 31, 2018 at Seasons Hospice following a period of declining health.
Born November 15, 1947 to the late Robert and Willie Grace Bales, she had been a resident of Dahlonega for the past 40 years coming from Alpharetta. Sue worked as a farmer alongside her husband for over 40 years. She enjoyed traveling and had visited every state in the U.S. A member of Providence Baptist Church, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Curtis Bales.
Surviving are her husband of 43 years, Charles Cates, Sr., Dahlonega; sons and daughter in law, Charles Jr. and Lindsey Cates, Dahlonega, Tony Cates, Dahlonega; nieces, Gretchen Bales, Vickie Tarver, Michelle Bales, Selena Bales, Marriah Bales, Tatum Bales; other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Friday February 2, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Rodney Pilcher will officiate. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Green Lawn Cemetery in Roswell.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday February 1 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to help offset final expenses.
