Obituary for Charles E. Fletcher

Charles E.  Fletcher
Charles E. Fletcher, 75, of Dawsonville passed away Saturday December 23, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a short illness.
Born March 14, 1942 in Moulton, Alabama to the late Walter and Ann Fletcher, he had lived in Dawson County since 1979. Mr. Fletcher retired as a teacher in the vocational department of Dawson County High School after 20 years of service. Prior to moving to Dawson County he taught in the Gwinnett County and Cartersville City school systems. Charles enjoyed fishing, bluegrass music and camping with his Rock Creek buddies. A U. S. Air Force veteran during the Vietnam era, he was a member of the Etowah River Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Sheryl Fletcher, Dawsonville; children, Dr. Shane and Tonnye Fletcher, Chadbourn, NC, Command Sergeants Major Randy and Marina Fletcher, Fayetteville, NC, Kelli and Daniel Bishop, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Sophia and Eddy Duke, Nelson-Rey and Rania Galarza, Julia and Thomas Aguilar, Mason Fletcher, Wylder Bishop, Charlee Bishop; 5 great grandchildren; sisters and brothers in law, Wanda and Bobby Dye, Cartersville, Myra and Bobby Williams, Acworth, Freida and J. B. Faircloth, Americus; and a number of other relatives.
Memorial services will be held Saturday December 30, 2017 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Fletcher’s sons will officiate.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 until 8 and Saturday from 1 until 2 at the funeral home.
