Obituary for Dwayne Rider

Dwayne  Rider
Dwayne Rider, 39, of Dawsonville passed away Thursday October 19, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a short illness.
Born April 25, 1978, Mr. Rider was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. Dwayne was a heavy equipment mechanic. He was an extremely devoted father and husband whose life revolved around his children. He was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church and attended New Life Church of God. Dwayne enjoyed photography, target shooting and airplanes.
Surviving are his wife, Becky Rider, Dawsonville; children, Lauren Rider, Gracie Rider, Garrett Rider, Delaney Rider, all of Dawsonville; mother, Shirley Norrell, Dawsonville; father and stepmother, Clark and Lisa Rider, Dawsonville; grandparents, Herman and Era Rider, Dawsonville, Jean Sims, Cleveland; sisters, Sandra Longino, Dahlonega, Jeana Rider, Dawsonville, Chelseay Frith, Douglasville; special nieces, Allie Loggins, Rileigh Loggins; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Sunday October 22, 2017 at 3 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Mike Owens, Rev. Eric Watson and Rev. Nick Rice will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 3 until 8 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to assist the family with final expenses.
