Obituary for Marion Gleeson Perry

Marion Gleeson  Perry
Marion Gleeson Perry, 94, of Dawsonville passed away Thursday December 29, 2016 at her residence following a period of declining health.
Born January 3, 1922 to the late Clifford and Georgie Gleeson, Marion had been a resident of Dawsonville for the past 15 years. She had also lived a number of years in the Stone Mountain area and Woodstock, GA. Affectionately known as Maw Maw, she was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who worked extremely hard for her family. Marion was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. James H. Perry; son, Gary R. Perry; brothers, J.C. Gleeson, George Gleeson; sisters, Fleasha Maddox, Wilhelmenia Martin, Joyce Anderson; great grandson, Andrew Perry.
Surviving are her sons and daughter in law, Lanier and Betty Perry, McDonough, Ronald Perry, Royston; daughter and son in law, Glenda and Mike Brandt, Dawsonville; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; sister in law, Myrtice Bass Gleeson, Cumming; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Saturday December 31, 2016 at 11 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Lawrence Clark will officiate. Interment will follow at 2 o’clock at Holly Springs Cemetery in Marietta, GA.
The family will receive friends from 4 until 8 on Friday at the funeral home.
