Obituary for John William Keating

John William  Keating
John William Keating, 55, of Dawsonville passed away Thursday December 31, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a period of declining health.
Born September 13, 1960 in St. Augustine, Florida, he had been a resident of Dawson County for almost 20 years coming from Forsyth County. A dedicated and loving husband and father, Mr. Keating was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and the Iron Order Motorcycle Club – Stars and Bars Chapter. He worked a number of years as a mechanic at Georgia Turf and Tractor in Alpharetta. He was an avid outdoorsman and motorcyclist who enjoyed participating in charity motorcycle rides.
Surviving are his wife, Debbie Keating, Dawsonville; daughters and son in law, Cinimon Keating, Dawsonville, Annie and William Jennings, North Carolina, Katlyn Keating, North Carolina; granddaughter, McKinzie Keating; step-children, Tammy and Aaron Dulaney, Scotty and Dru Cole; parents, John and Irene Keating, Cumming; sister, Julie Baker, Woodstock; aunts and uncles, Betty and James Keating, St. Augustine, FL, Frank and Diane Cyr, St. Augustine, FL, Ann and Pete Dorpema, St. Augustine, FL, Maralyn Cyr, California; a number of cousins and other relatives.
Memorial Services will be held Tuesday January 5, 2016 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Scott Gilbert will officiate.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 o’clock until the service hour on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to assist with final expenses.
