Obituary for Ben H. Voyles

Ben H. Voyles, 75, of Douglasville passed away Saturday January 22, 2011 at his residence following an extended illness.
Born September 9, 1935 in Dawson County to the late Lewis and Beulah Voyles, he had lived in Douglasville over 20 years. Mr. Voyles retired from Jim Ellington Transmissions after over 20 years of service and was of the Baptist faith. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sible Voyles; sons, Thomas Voyles, Randall Voyles; sisters, Kizzie Mae Pruett, Irene Pruett; and brothers, R. T. Voyles and Cecil Voyles.
Surviving are his sons and daughter in law, Benny Voyles, Dahlonega, Tim and Courtney Voyles, Douglasville; sisters, Lucille Evans, Dawsonville, Lorene Perry, Dawsonville, Jeannette Howard, Jasper, Shirley Howard, Tate, Erlene Burden, Elberton, Wynell Morris, Jasper; seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday January 24, 2011 at 3 o’clock at Sweetwater Baptist Church. Rev. Mark Flowers and Rev. James Pruett will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends after 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
