Obituary for Irene Ingram Collier

Irene Ingram Collier, 91, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday September 11, 2018 at her residence following a period of declining health.
Born January 15, 1927 to the late Virgle and Ella Mae Lemley, she has been a resident of Dawson County for most of her life. Irene was a member of New Life Church of God for over 65 years. An excellent seamstress, she enjoyed quilting and worked in food service for the Dawson County School System until her retirement. She loved everybody, especially her family and the Lord. Irene was preceded in death by her husbands, Grady Ingram, Jimmy Collier; daughter, Ruby Jean Turner; son, Cecil Ingram; grandson, Doug Ingram; great-granddaughter, Taylor Grace Caldwell; brothers, Horace “Pete” Lemley, Jeffey Lemley; sisters, Louise Eller, Fannie Patterson, Geraldine Moore.
Surviving are her son, Clinton Ingram of Dawsonville; daughter and son in law, Dianne and Tony Allison of Dawsonville; sisters and brothers in law, Annie Lou Pinion of Dawsonville, Bessie and Hoyt Cantrell of Dahlonega, Leila and Biddy Reece of Dawsonville, Bob Moore of Flowery Branch; grandchildren, David Ingram of Dahlonega, Greg and Hollie Ingram of Jefferson, Dustin Ingram of Dawsonville, Jeannie Reece of Orange Beach, AL, Kim and Darian Caldwell of Dahlonega, Kayela and Blake Fields of Dahlonega; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday September 13, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Lamar Hansard, Rev. Tony Allison and Rev. Blake Fields will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dawsonville City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday September 12 from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m.
