George “Vic” Victor Nutter, 75, of Dawsonville went home to be with the Lord, Friday August 10, 2018.

Born July 21, 1943 in Christiansburg, Virginia to the late George V. Nutter Sr. and Mary Shoun Nutter, Vic was a proud Veteran who honorably served in the U.S. Navy for over 20 years. Following his Naval service, he retired from Walmart after 19 years of service. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and his grandchildren. Vic was a faithful member of Harvest Baptist Church in Dawsonville and was also preceded in death by a sister and brother in law, Anna Jean and Louis Thompson.

Vic is survived and loved by his wife of 22 years, Melanie Nutter; Brother and sister-in-law, John A. & Joan Nutter, White, GA; Daughter, Karen Nutter, Pensacola, FL; Sons: Steve Nutter, Opelika, AL, Nathan & Leslie Woodson, Cleveland, GA, John & Rebecca Woodson, San Diego, CA, and Scott & Ashley Woodson, Cleveland, GA; Nephews and Nieces: Barry Thompson of Virginia, Brian & Rita Thompson of Virginia, Doug & Brenda Horne of Virginia, and Johnny & Daphne Nutter of Georgia; and 15 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday August 16, 2018 at 11 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Mark Biddy will officiate. Interment services will follow at the Georgia National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. with military honors.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 until 8 at the funeral home.
