Obituary for Willie Nell Evans

Willie Nell Evans, 72 of Dawsonville, GA passed away peacefully on Monday May 14, 2018 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville, GA after a period of declining health. She was born to the late Willie and Sarah Martin. She lived most of her life in Dawson County and was a member of Community Chapel Congregational Holiness Church. She was a homemaker who possessed a deep love for her faith and family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Evans; infant daughter, Rosa Lee Lackey; grandson, Dustin Evans; sisters, Alice Tomlin, Sue Maynor; brothers, J. D. Martin, Cecil Morrison.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Clinton Wimpy of Dahlonega, GA; step sons and daughter-in-law, Chad Evans of Buford, GA, Danny and Pattie Evans of Douglasville, GA, Larry Evans of Williston, SC; sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Jimmy Pettis of Gainesville, GA; brothers and sister-in-laws, Jeannett Morrison of Dalton, GA, Junior and Kathy Martin of Dahlonega, GA, Paul and Deborah Martin of Gainesville, GA, David "Dink" Martin of Dahlonega, GA, James Martin of Lula, GA; six grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and other relatives.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel, Dawsonville, GA with the Reverends, Pierce Ashmore and Jimmy Payne officiating. Interment will follow at Etowah Baptist Church Cemetery, Dawsonville, GA.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
