Obituary for Harley Bruce Long

Harley Bruce  Long
Harley Bruce Long, 66, of Villa Rica, formerly of Dawsonville, passed away Saturday February 24, 2018 at his residence following a period of declining health.
Born May 14, 1951 to the late Willie and Inez Long, he moved from Dawsonville to Villa Rica 5 months ago. Mr. Long was formerly employed by Rhino Construction. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and camping. He was a member of Kilough Church By The Lake.
Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Dianne Long, Villa Rica; daughters and sons in law, Angela and Brian Finch, Dawsonville, Katrena and J. D. Engelbrecht, Villa Rica; grandchildren, Alexis Finch, Jonathan Finch, Ashley Finch, Ezekiel Lewis, Cherith Davis, Harley Davis, Madaline Engelbrecht, Anabelle Engelbrecht; sister and brother in law, Linda and Forrest Stroup, Roswell; brother and sister in law, Billy Gene and Janice Long, Marietta; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday February 27, 2018 at 1 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Jeff Burrell and Rev. Windell Patterson will officiate. Interment will follow in Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Monday from 4 until 8 at the funeral home.
