Obituary for Loy C. Rouse

Loy C.   Rouse
Loy C. Rouse, 97, of Dawsonville passed away Wednesday January 24, 2018 at The Oaks at Towne Lake following a period of declining health.
Born November 19, 1920 in Dawson County to the late Peter W. and Lula Rouse, he lived a number of years in Atlanta and Douglas County before returning to Dawson County in 2001. Mr. Rouse was a U. S. Army veteran of WW II where he served in the European Theater. He was also preceded in death by his son, Elvin Rouse; sisters, Linda and Mae; and a brother, Duffy.
Surviving are his wife of 78 years, Dorothy M. Rouse, Dawsonville; children, Everett and Marsha Rouse, Pine Mountain, Susan Elaine Buchanan, Woodstock, Howard and Norma Rouse, Tybee Island, Bill and Nancy Rouse, Acworth; 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday January 29, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Sven Mossinger will officiate. Interment will follow in Mozley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs at 3 p.m.
The family will receive friends Monday from 10:30 until 11:30 at the funeral home.
