Oliver Brock, 82, of Dawsonville passed away Monday September 11, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a period of declining health.
Born February 12, 1935 to the late Willie H. and Mary Lou Brock, he lived in Dawson County most of his life. Mr. Brock was employed at Mulberry Farms in Gainesville for a number of years and was a U. S. Army veteran. Oliver was also preceded in death by a great grandson, Jeffery Brock, and 8 brothers and sisters.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Mildred “MeeMee” Brock, Dawsonville; daughter and son in law, Glenda and Russell Gazaway, Gainesville; sons, Larry Gene Brock, Dawsonville, Johnny Brock, Dawsonville; grandchildren, J. B. Brock, Tamisha Pittman, Misty Brown, Josh Brock; great grandchildren, Emma, Emily, Alana, Bentley, and Wyatt; sister, Martha Benton, Lilburn; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Thursday September 14, 2017 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Dennis Bottoms and Rev. Dennis Daniels will officiate. Interment will follow in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 until 8 at the funeral home.
