Obituary for Charles W. King III

Charles W.  King III
Charles W. King, III, 57 of Dawsonville passed away Thursday August 31, 2017 at his residence following a sudden illness.
Born February 3, 1960 in Houston, Texas, he had lived in Dawson County for the past 15 years having moved from Decatur. Mr. King worked as a mortgage banker for 10 years after which he was employed at Lowe’s in Cumming. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles W. King, Jr., and a brother, Mark King.
Surviving are his companion, Betsy Padgett, Dawsonville; mother, Barbara King, Dawsonville; brother, Paul King, Dawsonville; stepmother, Sandie King, Florida; stepsister, Susan Arvesen Jensen, Illinois; niece, Savannah King; nephews, Payton King, Zach King; his special dogs, Cozmo and Roxie; his former classmates from West Lafayette High School in Indiana and numerous friends.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday September 23, 2017 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends on Saturday September 23 beginning at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Dawson County Humane Society, 633 Martin Road, Dawsonville, GA 30534.
