Condolence: 11-17-2020

My Dear Friend Jay:

We grew up a together... from Jr. High at Southside Jr. to Graduating together at Englewood HS in Jacksonville, FL. I had no idea you were sick and only in June of 2020 did I find out you had made it to heaven before me.... I wish I had known so we could have had some more laughs together before you had to go.

I'm sitting here at my computer with tears in my eyes and sadness in my heart that you have left this earth. I hope you didn't have pain and that you were resting quietly when our dear Lord Jesus came with His Angels to take you home.

We did so many fun things growing up together with Billy Patterson, Duncan Padgett and me and you hanging out at basketball games and other activities.... mostly singing in chorus and Sr. Singers with Mr. Ray Veckruise.

Remember we both played JV Football? Me you fighting over kickoffs to see who would run one back? I think you did run a little faster than me if I remember right...

I know you are rejoicing in Heaven now with your new body on streets of Gold! I'll join you one day and we'll laugh and play together again just like we were kids again!

Until then, you enjoy the Lords presence and we'll talk soon ok?

Love you man....

Your childhood friend now and forever,

PS - If any family reads this I would love to hear from you to tell me more about my friend Jay and how he spent the last years of his life.

Sincerely,

Billy Richards

Condolence: I very much enjoyed the time I was able to spend working with Jay. He was without a doubt one of the best nurse practitioners I have had the pleasure of working with. He was also a very good friend. College football will not be the same without Jay as we discussed the games/teams each week. I feel sure that he is now in heaven. Rest in peace.

I an truly sorry to hear of Jay's passing. He was such a kind hearted, tender and gentle man. I enjoyed working with him at the Cleveland office for many years and learned so much from him. He will be truly missed and I know your hearts are broken. Much love to you all during this time of sorrow.
