Obituary for Leo Sheppard

Leo Sheppard, 78, of Dawsonville passed away Friday August 4, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born March 1, 1939 in Vermont, he lived in Dawson County for the past 26 years having moved from Stone Mountain. Mr. Sheppard retired as an electrician for the Dekalb County School System after 30 years of service. He and his wife were members of the Good Sam RV Club. Leo enjoyed travel and keeping in contact with the 13 friends he graduated with at McIndoes Academy in McIndoes Falls, Vermont.
Surviving are his wife of 26 years, Patricia C. Sheppard, Dawsonville; 6 children, 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, a sister, a brother, and his beloved Chihuahua, ChiChi.
Memorial services will be held Saturday August 12, 2017 at 11 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Betty Ann Brock will officiate.
The family will receive friends on Saturday August 12 from 10 until 11 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to McIndoes Academy, 37 Academy Lane, McIndoes Falls, Vermont 05050.
