Obituary for Oletta Disharoon

Oletta  Disharoon
Oletta Disharoon, 87, of Dawsonville passed away Wednesday May 31, 2017 at Grandview Healthcare Center in Jasper following a period of declining health.
Born March 10, 1930 to the late Crawford and Ola Belle Bearden, Oletta was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and also attended Bethel Baptist Church regularly. A homemaker for most of her life, she also served as one of the first teachers for the Head Start program in Dawson County. Oletta had a great love for her church and community. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Disharoon; daughter, Janie Odom; grandson, Matthew Wilson; great-granddaughter, Morgan Disharoon; sisters, Lille Hall, Dot Southern, Juanita Sumner.
Surviving are her children, David (Regina) Disharoon, Gainesville, Danny (Eulene) Disharoon, Dawsonville, Cathy (David) Wilson, Dawsonville, Gary (Nancy) Disharoon, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Shawn (Misty) Kilgore, Chris Disharoon, Ryan (Jessica) Disharoon, Keli Walden, Kristie Patterson, Jason (Cheree) Disharoon, Stephen (Summer) Disharoon, Michael Wilson, Lauren (Caleb) Warren, Lance (Jenny) Disharoon, Clay Disharoon; great-grandchildren, Alex, Ella, Andrew, Meghan, Lindsey, Cale, Makenna, Aria, Jensen, Kaylen; sisters, Thelma (Junior) Chester, Dawsonville, Betty (James) Anderson, Alabama; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Saturday June 3, 2017 at 11 AM at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Russell Burt, Rev. Stephen Davis and Rev. Jason Hamby will officiate. Interment will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 PM until 8 PM at the funeral home.
