Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Willie Harper of Mineral Bluff, Ga; his sisters, Geneva Henson and Regina Pelfrey of Dawsonville; and brothers, Cecil Harper and Micky Harper of Mineral Bluff.
Surviving are his wife of almost 63 years, Dude Harper; children, Ann Sheffield, Sherry Allen, Rudy Harper, and Greg Harper, all of Dawsonville; and one brother, Gary Harper of Morganton, GA. Seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, as well as other relatives also survive.
A memorial visitation will be held Thursday April 27, 2017 from 4PM until 8PM at Bearden Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Dawson County Park and Rec Youth Scholarship Fund, PO Box 808, Dawsonville, GA 30534.
