Condolence From: Steve Mungle
Condolence: Paul and I checked out together on the DC9 together at Delta in 1988. I was watching a documentary on Amazon prime called Thud Pilots and saw him! Though it's been over 30 years, I'll never forget him. He was a great man and a great fighter pilot! As I approach my own retirement from Delta in 7 months, Paul left an everlasting impression. So sorry for losing him! Steve Mungle Delta Air Lines USAF RES, ret

Condolence From: Larry Carter
Condolence: Paul was a man among men. I was a classmate at Delta and found him to be a kind and generous person whom everyone wanted to befriend. His modesty belied his many abilities which included possessing the soul of a warrior, as his experience in Viet Nam demonstrated. My sincerest condolences to his family.

Condolence: Very sad to receive the news. Paul Sheehy was a customer of mine while I worked evenings at the Blue Bicycle. I was very fond of my conversations with Paul and his wife. Chatting with him about aviation is one of the reasons I chose to pursue becoming a pilot myself. Thankful for having known such a solid man.

Condolence: Paul was one of the finest men I've ever had the privilege to know. He lived his beliefs. And they were beliefs that all of us could learn from. He exemplified what a wonderful husband, father and gentleman should be. My thoughts are with Mary Ann and his children and grandchildren.

Condolence: Paul was very smart and could always solve logic problems quickly. He did the daily Jumble puzzle without using a pen or pencil. He cared about correct grammar and could still recite the complete list of 44 prepositions that Miss Forrester made us memorize in eighth-grade English class at Washington Junior High School. One of our last conversations was about the pluperfect tense. His skill as a combat pilot has been noted in several books about the Vietnam air war. He was kind and thoughtful and would always go out of his way to help someone. He was a perfect friend, and knowing him for 63 years made me a better person.

Condolence From: Howard L Bodenhamer
Condolence: I flew combat with Paul in 1967. He was the finest wingman I had. Paul never wavered at any time despite brutal conditions and the loss of many good men. Despite having little time in the F-105, he became one of the best pilots in the Wing. I could always count on Paul and am saddened by his passing. He was truly a hero.
