Obituary for Randall "Hotrod" Martin

Randall "Hotrod"  Martin
Randall “Hotrod” Martin, 57, of Cumming passed away Sunday August 21, 2016 at Northside Forsyth Hospital following a short illness.
Born November 29, 1958, he was a lifelong resident of Forsyth County. Mr. Martin was a forklift operator for Westrock and was a member of Settingdown Baptist Church. Known for his unmistakable laugh, Hotrod enjoyed life, spending time with his family and friends, fishing and working on cars. He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgianna Daniel Martin; father, Egbert “Chick” Martin; brothers, Donald Martin, Jimmy Martin, and Willard Martin.
Surviving are his sons and daughters in law, Heath and Nikki Martin, Dawsonville, Dillon and Lyric Martin, Dawsonville; mother, Geneva Hammond, Cumming; grandchildren, Easton Martin, Harper Martin; sisters and brothers in law, Deborah and Randall Woody, Cumming, Linda and George Garbutt, Cumming, Ojuana Smith, Cumming; brother and sister in law, Danny Ray and Barbara Martin, Cumming; several half sisters and brothers; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday August 24, 2016 at 1 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Danny Ray Martin, Rev. Randall Woody, and Rev. Ruel Martin will officiate. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 2 until 8 and Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour.
