Obituary for Robert McRae Dean

Robert McRae  Dean
Robert McRae Dean, 25, of Dawsonville passed away Thursday June 23, 2016.
Born October 15, 1990, Robert was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. A 2009 honor graduate of Dawson County High School, he also attended the University of North Georgia. He served in the U. S. Air Force for six years and spent the past year in the Reserves. Robert received a Commendation Medal with Valor. A member of Dawsonville Baptist Church, he was an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed hiking and kayaking. He was a devoted husband and father.
Surviving are his wife, Katie Free Dean, Dawsonville; son, Cooper McRae Dean, Dawsonville; parents, John and Debbie Dean, Dawsonville; sister and brother in law, Amanda and Russ McPherson, McDonough; father in law and mother in law, Charles and Maria Free, Dawsonville; mother in law, Denyse Vincent, Dawsonville; nieces, Kaitlyn McPherson and Lily McPherson.
Memorial services will be held Monday June 27, 2016 at 4 o’clock at the Dawsonville Baptist Church. Rev. Randy Smith will officiate.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 5 until 7 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a fund for Cooper’s education c/o Denyse Vincent, 351 Burnt Mountain Ridge Road, Jasper, Georgia 30143.
