Obituary for David Joshua Martin Jay Tillett

David Joshua Martin Jay Tillett, 27, of Dawsonville passed away Saturday February 13, 2016 at his residence following a sudden illness.
Born March 23, 1988 in Canton, Georgia, he had lived in Dawson County for the past 15 years. D. J. was a collector of unique objects and was adventurous with a unique personality. He was a rock to his family, accepted everyone with open arms and helped anyone who was in need. He was an angel with some scars, but had a big heart and will really be missed. D. J. was preceded in death by his father, David Martin Tillett; grandmother, Anna May Tillett; grandfather, Ronald F. Tillett; and nephew, William E. Ritchey.
D. J. was a proud and dedicated father to his daughter, Mackenzie Jane, Dawsonville; and was also survived by his mother, Myra Garcia, Dawsonville; sister, Gloria Jane, Dawsonville; brother, Cody Joseph Tillett, Dawsonville; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
KAAPLAH
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday February 20, 2016 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Dahlonega Ward, 7207 Dawsonville Highway, Dawsonville, Georgia 30534, from 2 until4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to assist with final expenses.
