Obituary for Richard A. "Obie" Oberleitner

Richard A. "Obie"  Oberleitner
Richard A. “Obie” Oberleitner, 60, of Dawsonville passed away Friday August 1, 2014 at his residence.
Born January 24, 1954 in Erie, Pennsylvania, he had lived in Dawson County for the past 10 years having moved from Buford. Obie was a retired truck driver and was a U. S. Army veteran of the Viet Nam era. Mr. Oberleitner was also preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl Oberleitner; son, Richard Oberleitner, Jr.; and brother, Pat Powers.
Surviving are his daughter, Dawn Waters, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Davidson Oberleitner, Harley Waters, Victoria Waters, Jason Waters, Jr., Samuel Oberleitner; sister, Cathy Treadway, Douglasville; brother, Terry Oberleitner; and a number of other relatives.
Memorial services will be held Saturday August 16, 2014 at 5 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Cecil Reeves will officiate.
The family will receive friends beginning at 4 o’clock.
