Obituary for Claude F. "Bud" Nix

Claude F. "Bud"  Nix
Claude F. “Bud” Nix, 81, of Big Canoe passed away Wednesday July 17, 2013.
Born August 5, 1931 to the late Claude F., Sr. and Dorothy Nix, he was a native of Arlington, VA. Mr. Nix moved from Cobb County to Big Canoe in 1990. He retired in 1989 as an Industrial Engineer with Lockheed after 25 years of service. Bud was a gentle and tender father who loved his family and friends. Golf was his favorite pastime, especially on the Big Canoe course with his companions. He had a talent to fix or rebuild anything mechanical including vintage sports cars, clocks and appliances. Clocks and watches became his indoor hobby and in recent years he enjoyed helping anyone who needed assistance or repairs.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Martha Nix, Big Canoe; children, David and Mandy Nix, Clarkesville, Linda Nix, Alpharetta; and granddaughter, Sarah Nix, Asheville, NC.
Memorial services will be held Saturday July 27, 2013 at 11 o’clock at the Big Canoe Chapel.
Memorial donations may be made to Big Canoe Chapel or to your favorite charity.
