Della Groves Nuzum, 80, of Lawrenceville, GA passed away Friday December 7, 2012 at Delmar Gardens of Gwinnett following a period of declining health.
Born January 21, 1932 in Richwood, West Virginia to the late Rev. S. G. and Reba Groves, she lived most of her adult life in Akron, Ohio. While in Akron, Mrs. Nuzum was an active member of the Christ United Methodist Church. She and her husband moved to Georgia in 1985. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard G. Nuzum, Sr.; and brothers, Kenneth Groves, Sr. and John Groves, Sr.
Surviving are her children, Debbie and Brian Hurlburt, Lawrenceville, GA, Pam and Pat Turman, Hernando, Mississippi, Richard, Jr. “Rick” and Rhonda Nuzum, Snellville, GA; sister, JoAnne Dack, Dawsonville; brothers and sisters in law, Edgel Groves, Dawsonville, Jerry and Bea Groves, Dawsonville, Judy Groves, Gillsville, GA; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday December 10, 2012 at 6 p.m. at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jeffrey Groves will officiate.
The family will receive friends Monday from 5 until 6 at the funeral home.
